TRO3063 Privateer and others in resin

Post by sounguru »

Okay guys here is the deal we have worked hard on the TRO3063 and it is turning out to be better than we ever imagined it... So in my mind and Steve's what good is a TRO if no minis can be used from it. So after some trial and error we have determined that the Shapeways minis just do not stack up to the quality of the TRO and that will not work...

So we are working to get the Privateer (most asked about mini so far) made in resin. Now no promises but we are gonna give it our best shot and it will not be a mini for the one piece or easy to assemble crowd who in my mind are a bunch of flakes anyway ....

Here is the plan:

One main chassis that you will be able to make either variant from and we are talking 8-14 pieces when all said and done. Why so many pieces you ask simple... all the weapons will be separate plus the different arm pads needed. Now add to that that this will have the main chassis in several part so it can be posed with little difficulty (OH MY GOD SAY IT ISN'T SO YOU MEAN NO SAW, BLOOD LOSS OR A DICTIONARY OF CURSE WORDS REQUIRED).

Price estimated between $12 and $17

If this works this will be the first of the 100+ minis in TRO3063 that may get made and will be the start of what I call a master line.

Here is the pdfs of the Privateer for those not in the know... http://www.wartairsoft.com/priv.pdf / http://www.wartairsoft.com/priv2.pdf and a link to the entire project ... http://www.battletechuniverse.org/hpgup ... highlight=

Now all this will start after Steve and I out do ourselves and the rest of you geeks on our super secert project that will make you check your drawers to see if they need to be cleaned...

So if you are interested please let us know so we can figure production runs and also direct friends, fellow gamers (even if it is the stinky ones), and anyone else here so we can really drum up TRO3063 and make the resin mini a reality ... Also feel free to list any that you maybe interested in us doing but remember those that are CGL named are extremely low on the totem pole for obvious reasons...

List the # of minis you would buy and I will add it to the list below.....

Thanks in advance

Go ahead and list them if you want it will give us an idea of what minis to look at next just remember that CGL named ones are low on the pecking order for obvious reasons.

am I the only one for the White Knight?

Put me down as a +1 for the Tomahawk as well. Love the looks.
And the Montgomery II as well. Definately looks like something off a recruitment poster.
And the Sarpedon
