Miniature case recommendations

Post by Child of Wonder »

Hey guys... can anyone point me towards a site I can get some relatively inexpensive storage cases for my miniatures? My ~20 or so have been sitting in a shoebox the last 10 years and now my 9 year old has discovered them so, naturally, I've taught him how to play Battletech and he loves it! So now I'm planning on buying more minis but living in a shoebox has not been kind to the ones I already have.

I'm just looking for some sort of simple plastic case or cases that can hold about 50 minis. I doubt I'll ever go beyond that.

Thanks!

Helloooo CHILD! W  W! Great to see you again...
For storage, I highly recommend these: http://www.basspro.com/Plano-HydroFlo-S ... 459/230106
I use them. I add either a bit of tissue or thin sheets of foam to keep minis from rattling about.
Get several of the little tackle boxes, then store those/haul 'em around in this:

$9 avg. for the little utility boxes x6 = $54
+ $14 for the carrier = $68.
BUT you can carry 2 full battalions of 'Mechs anywhere you go.
it's ALOT cheaper than the dedicated Army bags you get from Hobby stores.

Hey Steve! Nice to see there's still a few familiar faces floating around here.

I like the fishing tackle idea. Those spaces look big enough to hold some of my larger Mechs like the Turkina, Behemoth, etc.

I may just pony up the cash and get a really nice case. In a couple weeks an old friend is coming over to play a game with my son and I. I asked my son if he wanted us on a team together or did he want to team up with my friend.

"Grand Melee" was his answer. That's my boy!
